The book aims to encourage reflection on the foundation of who we are.
“It is through those who came before us, the people who poured into us that we are able to stand,” said Willie during the book launch at the Liberia Learning Center on Thursday, March 13.
The book is designed to bring families together in several meaningful ways: Bridging Generations – Encouraging older family members to read to younger ones, fostering a love for storytelling; Inspiring Conversations – Prompting children to explore their own family traditions and experiences; and Creating Memories – Motivating families to make rice bread together, whether as a new experience or a cherished tradition.
